Thanks for sharing this vulnerable piece. I'm the same height and I feel that because I'm shorter, I have less room for the weight to distribute, making me gain easily.
I can really relate to this. I began exercising years ago and lost weight, which prompted several "compliments". Now that I'm stress eating and gaining some weight, I worry those same people will notice. It's something that's been getting to me a lot. I haven't weighted myself in years, which has helped a lot. I also try to remind myself that people find different things beautiful. But like you pointed out, people's approval shouldn't be the ultimate goal anyway.
