So many things to say but ultimately, I think they're looking at it from the wrong lens. You're not demanding they owe you anything. You're asking if they can show empathy with a simple action. When they don't and you call them out on that, I think that's fair.

I wouldn't know, but I would suppose that once you reach a certain level, you may forget the power you have. A simple mention could dramatically improve someone's situation. I've always been curious why certain people use their influence to help. And why others use it to only help themselves. You have the answer though: Empathy.
